Industrial Hackathon of the InduCCI project on the BBDays4.IT festival!

The InduCCI project test case "Industrial Hackathon" will be one of the core parts of this year BBDays4.IT festival!

BBDays4.IT Festival guarantees access to the highest quality IT knowledge and solutions. This is why ARRSA signed an agreement with the Centre for Modern Technologies Foundation for cooperation in the organization of a test case of the InduCCI project called "Industrial Hackathon".

During the event the creative industry will work on the challenge proposed by the industrial sector. In Bielsko-Biała, the two most developed industries are automotive and ICT, so we decided to combine them. The automotive sector has been consulted in the context of potential topics, needed solutions or improvements of its IT processes, which could be undertaken by the programming teams taking part in the Hackathon.

Industrial Hackathon will be implemented in an on-line formula, from 7-11. 09. 2020. 15 4-person teams will compete with each other by programming appropriate codes and applications, which will be a solution to the challenge presented by automotive companies from the region.

As a result, a project or prototype will be created, which can be refined and implemented.

After finishing the coding, participants will present their ideas during a series of presentations. The jury of the competition will include experts with technical knowledge in the field of programming, representatives of the automotive industry who will evaluate the projects from the practical point of view, as well as representatives of the organizers, including Mr. Jan Sienkiewicz, ARRSA Proxy.  The winners, apart from the possibility of developing their projects, will also receive cash prizes.

As a result of consultations with local companies on potential topics and challenges where the creative industry could propose solutions, ARRSA has identified several topics to be addressed by Hackathon participants:

Topic 1:

Application for automatic counting of people after evacuation from the building, which should include: automatic counting of employees; automatic counting of guests from own organization; automatic counting of guests from outside the organization, including e.g. trainers, suppliers; taking into account the fact that evacuation in case of fire takes place by all possible escape routes, also unconventional ones such as going out the window.

Topic 2:

An application to collect and share vehicle parts data, which should include: a data management system (a set of features of each part saved in the form of QR/CR codes) to send it to the cloud; different levels of access in the cloud for users; secured and catalogued data; access for each person in the production/sales chain to full technical documentation for control and precise selection of parts.

Topic 3:

Application for monitoring and removing health and safety non-compliance in the plant: logging of nonconformities with photographic documentation; automatic notification of nonconformities to the person in charge; reminder to the supervisor after the deadline; reminder after the deadline with information to the supervisor.
